surprisingly uncommon.

The book Article 5 by Kristen Simmons is a story about a girl who is taken into custody by the government because she was an illegitimate due to her mothers not being married when she was born, which is against the law. But the officer to arrest her mother just happens to be... wait for it... the love of her life! (obviously) So pretty much the rest of the book she is trying to find her mother and save her. I really liked this book because for once it had a happy satisfying ending! I hate endings usually cause they just suck and you want the story to continue. But this one was such a great happy ending!!! Some people would say that happy endings are boring. But after all the tragic, awful, cliff-hanging endings; I was sooooo Happy for a nice good happy ending! The book itself was nothing special. It was just another futuristic, the-government-rules-and-the-rebellion-fights-off-the-evil-government, tragic love story, kind of book. Although the one thing that did make this book different was that it never really got too serious. Like when she's in the girls' reformation center, the author doesn't really make her life there seem that bad. And when Ember is in other terrible situations, they don't really seem that terrible because the author never goes into much detail. She kinda just breezes over a lot of things. But it was still a great book and I can not wait to read the squeal!!! (I'm so glad I don't have to wait for it to come out.)

 the cover's a little cheesy.
